Spain 1957 *58* 5 Ptas Edge Lettering [επιλυμένο]

7 αναρτήσεις • προβλήθηκε 163 φορές
I have this coin,KM#788, from Spain.1957 50 Ptas. *58*
On the edge description it says "Una Grande Libre".
On my coin it reads "Una Libre Grande".
Is this a listing error, or a variation of the coin?

Thank you in advance.
Hi John
Hope all is well . I think you forgot a "0" The 5 ptas has reeding. I looked the time I had And can only find newer 50 Ptas coins. I will try to look again. Good luck.
It is, what it is, or is it.
Keep it.

Its an error that only happened that year; if your coin is in good condition it can be worth a few hundreds

As far as I can see this type is well known and is described in the catalog
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1884.html
in standard way.

Heres some pics.I circled the A in UNA, and the G in Grande.Hard to take good pics of the edge.
Any grading opinions?

Hi Allred, Hope all is well with you to.Got this in a bulk lot about the time I 1st started collecting. About 10yrs ago
Well, i am sorry i missread your info.

This coin has that lettrering both in the reverse (eagle side) and in the rim. The error i was talking about, is in the RIM: for the year 58, there are a unknow quantity of this coins that were made with the lettrering "UNA LIBRE GRANDE" instead of "UNA GRANDE LIBRE" in the rim.

Your coin has everything as it should be, so its not one of thoose error coins.

Sorry for my confusion
