Proof-reading is required for Franklin Half Dollar USA [επιλυμένο]

It seems that there is a mess in the mintage section of the article

For example the proof 1963 is described as type 2 only by SCWC, being mintage given by Red book. But the Numista article gives:

1963 3,075,645 Proof (Type 1 reverse)
1963 22,164,000 Type 1 reverse
1963 Type 2 reverse

Most probably some lines should be merged.

In the case of 1963 it is expected:

1963 3,075,645 Proof (Type 2 reverse)
1963 22,164,000 Type 1 reverse

and so on for other years.

I think the page makes perfect sense as it is. I don't think changing it would give any benefit at all.

Hm... I find this to be a rather interesting situation. At a quick glance, the page looks fine; however... something seems strange.

Firstly, here is the Krause link:

Krause does not report any of the Proofs. So... Numista is following Krause here, only adding all Proof year-lines. But I think Krause made a mistake. The mints they list are D, S, no mintmark, and... nothing (they only say Type 2 rev.). I think those year-lines were supposed to be the Proof ones.

Here is a website about Franklin half dollars, which gives its own list on which Types go to which years:

Aside from 1958 and 1959, they list Type 2 coins as only being Proofs. The only Proofs that come in both Type 1 and Type 2 are 1956. The only non-Proofs that come in both are 1958 and 1959.

So... yeah. An interesting situation, I would say.
