Coin or not ?

Hello there
I've attached a couple of photos of what appears to be a coin but I am struggling to identify it as such. Can anyone help ? I would think the lion is important. The item is 25 mm in diameter & has raised segments all around the rim. The edge has regular , periodic bars in threes.
