Hi to all

No hard suggestions here (yet), but same tokens could be used in the past also in Slovenia. I guess both of tokens in pairs below are actually same, but have been added within different countries. My thought goes to Numista update, that would in case of tokens allow adding more countries, where they are or have been used, on one coin page => same kind of approach as for "Reference number" field could be used, so that users could add more "Currency" values. In lower case that would be Austria - Automatic Tokens and Germany - Automatic Tokens on the same coin page.

Here are two examples, though I cannot verify if both coins were actually used in these two countries):
1st:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces141339.html and https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces31966.html
2nd:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces141340.html and https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces63995.html

If Numista nestors should disagree here, please let me know what is the meaning of adding literally the same coins in different countries? Does Numista in this case just race the other similar pages in having more confirmed coins sites?

Best regards

PS: I have recently got a car wash token on OMV petrol station, which is actually the same as the one existing on Numista and is from Estonia.
Hello.
Well, it is obvious that these are duplicates.
I do not see a problem to add a comment that such a token is found in another country.
And the page is added by the one who found such a token, for example, in his country.
Just to make thing more clearer, which one of statements below are then closer to the real thing:
  1. A same token is used lets say in 24 different countries, so we shall have eventually 24 different coin pages? And if so, how shall one user know to which country does his newly acquired token belong to?
  2. A same token is used lets say in 24 different countries, but only one country gets first prize, since the coin was added to that country first. Other countries are added in comments. When searching this coin in "Search" tab, this coin will be automatically shown only in the firstly added country but not in all others. Some strange issues may pop up when users would try to properly organize their physical collection. Maybe a "multi-culti" currency or maybe a "transboundary" currency could be added as an option for tokens (a joke).

Best regards
Since now, I believe, there is no perfect solution for this issue and since we do not need duplicates, I tend to your second option.
In general, we can find many such examples in the catalog

Agreed, we only need one page, with a comment that this token can be used/found in other countries. We would not create copies of the British trade dollar page to be put in the Hong Kong and Straits Settlements catalogues.

Which country that one page should go under, now that is the question.
Hi
I guess there is no need for a quick fix in this matter, as such may make things even less better. I am just asking Numista masters to put this question into sort-out-list and solve it once a good idea towards permanent solution arises.
Best regards
I guess only one company issued a type of token but they are sold in many countries for the same / or different purposes.

If we can find who really issued them, wa can determine under which country we should keep them (and add in the comment section the countries where they are / were used).
