It would be nice if one could filter the collection by clicking on one of the slices of the "Metals" pie chart under My Collection; for instance if I want to see all my silver coins, or gold coins, or aluminum coins.

Agreed.

Yes, either click on the chart or the list on the right, so that I could
for example click on Nickel and see what the 90 coins are.

For gold and silver we can already filter by metal composition via the advanced search filter. Fill in the metal and don't forget to thick the IN box at "My collection".
One problem: this way only the different types are counted. If you have different dates from the same type it will only count as 1.

This doesn't work for some other metals:
- For "nickel" also the copper-nickel coins will be selected.
- For "aluminium" also the aluminium-bronze coins will be selected.
- For "stainless" a lot of other coins will be selected but I haven't a clue at all why. For instance this coin (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces797.html) will occur then, but nowhere on this coinpage is the word "stainless", so I have no idea why this coin is selected.

In any case, if we want to know which coins we have from which metal, the selecting has to be done in another way than it happens now through the advanced search.
I know.... It is just that the filter could be "a click away" instead of getting into the advanced filter (which I've used in the past).

Yes, via "My coins" is certainly faster. But faster alone is not sufficient enough, it also has to be more accurate. That was the main reason of my reply. If the counting via "My coins" will be done the same way as via "Advanced search" we don't win much. Of course we'll have the answer a bit quicker but ZacUK still won't know which are his 90 nickel coins.
Hello,
This was also requested here: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic51000.html
I reject this topic just to avoid duplicate.
Thanks Xavier for pointing out to the older thread. I hope you consider this for future implementation!
