Using the catalogue to help me ID some Turkish coins, I am struggling to find this one in the catalogue (well I have found the coin just not the date): This is the date I have on it: Year 1293 from the Islamic calendar (January 28, 1876 - January 15, 1877).
I upload an image just in case I have this wrong...(I should hope not under a loup).
What sort of reply is that ?! Are you having a bad day or something - at least a please would be nice.

Is it either of these? I think though that second link has a wrong picture, as the coin does not show 1293 date - it is more like 1327 perhaps. I have made a request to add these instead from World Coin Gallery ...
the date 1877 is correct, i think, but you should look under the Toughra, for the reignal year, than add it up to 1877 and there you have the exact date!

I correctly found it but didn't understand the additional symbols next to the Toughra.

On another coin 40 Para https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces11088.html I do not have anything to the right of the Tougrah date 1911...confused on this. (Thought I'd use this thread rather than draw people's attention to my failings with Turkish coins.

do you have a picture of the reverse of this 40 para, because I think it is not the one you indicate in the link, I think it is the 40 Para of Sultan Muhamad VI KM# 828 all of the coins issued by this Sultan don't have anything on right of Toughra...
Year should be 1336 and reignal year 4 ? Is that correct?
Look the image right of Toughra and the year 1327 on the coin, but not on the coin sheet. Administrators should be more careful when approving a coin....

I understand what you are saying, however, I am a little lost. As the image right of the Toughras are different aren't they (in the two different links)...as to the coin of 40 Para of Sultan Muhamad VI KM# 828 is it on Numista?
Year is 1336 and the reignal year is 4...you are correct.
But the image of the coin on this coin sheet is wrong, it should be your coin there, the coin that actually is there has a "El-Ghazi" right of the Toughra.
So I think you should modify the coin sheet, as your images are of a very good quality.
