Is that a Stephen Album coin? I added a ton of those to the catalog a while ago using Album's pictures. Even though they are pretty plain, they look fun to collect because of all the different types.

This particular piece is not from Steve Album, but I know which auction you are referring to. I bought most of the early coins in that auction, but then my computer crashed. I wasn't able to get back into the auction until the very end of the tranquebar series :snif:;(, so I lost a lot of good coins that I wanted. You can see my gallery of tranquebar coins below which includes the coins from SA as well as other sources:

i thought the whole point was to add your own coin..otherwise we can just take coins from numista to add here, and the whole How far back can we go? thread will be pointless..
I think he means adding to our catalogue, not to this topic.
Noone has 1770? :x
Wait, it's 1770 time now?

Russia, Catherine II, 1 ruble 1770-СПБ (ЯЧ). Saint-Petersburg mint.
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces95723.html

The 0 in the date is just visible at 1:30h (clearer in hand); the rest can be inferred from the mintmaster initials (at 7h and 5h).

...Can I edit the post later if I manage to take better photos of the coin?
