Yes correct. I use Krause to know the price range and prefer to use local catalog because it's closer to the market price. I don't have Dutch coins catalog so I support via Catawiki and was shocked by their prices.
Use eBay search and select "sold" to see actual selling prices (remember, a coin still for sale is one that hasn't sold for some reason) or "completed" which will show not only sold prices but completed unsold listings as well (unsold often means the price was too high!). Ebay completed auctionprices can be a good indicator of wholesale value. When you're selling to your neighborhood coin dealer and he checks his laptop before making an offer - that's usually what he's checking. Then compare Krause, MA-shops, VCoins etc for retail prices.
