Well, bowling season has started again. Pursuing one of my other goals, a perfect game (12 strikes in-a-row)!!!
Betty is a 70+ year old Scottish expat with the attitude you see in every Hollywood movie (is it true?). She recently took a trip to New Zealand and was kind enough to bring back some coins. Not very easy to come by here in Canada as the postal rates are brutal.
I'm thinking us Canucks and Kiwis would get along just fine based on coinage. British monarch on the obverse; animals, ships, and indigenous symbols on the reverse. The coins are awesome. Going in 2X2's and my "primo" albums.
It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure, that just ain't so. Mark Twain
Agreed! I recently had a friend gift me a small pile of coins from a coin trough, one of them was a 20 cent (1988) coin, the one with the kiwi bird on it. It's one of my favourites. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces3914.html
Don't worry about me, just let me know what sort of stuff you want and I can probably get you some. It's pretty cheap over here except for the silver stuff.
