I think the mintmark is in the dark spot in the last edge photo. If you come up with a better picture, we should be able to read it.

The word for star in Russian is звезда; so I suppose yours is 1899зв.

Any idea on the grade?

I'm wondering whether I'm right, because ЗБ is not the same as ЗВ (В and Б are two different letters), but I still think the star is the mintmark since it's between the beginning and end of the legend.

As for grade, I would think VG.

If you copy & paste this in Google Images (with the quotation marks):

"1899 ЗБ" or "1899 ФЗ" or "1899 АГ"

You'll see more examples, but they show I'm wrong to some extent because the mintmarks are actually the letters ЗБ or ФЗ or АГ. Still, they are where the star is on your coin.

This coin has a star on the rim which is a mint mark for Paris (Krause catalog Y-58.1). Since St.George is worn off in the center of coin's reverse, the value would be about $10, unless the price of 9 g of pure silver exceeds that amount.
