I'm the new referee for the coins of the Dominican Republic. There is a big doubt about the alignment of the sides of the coins 1 peso 1991-2008, KM#80 (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces836.html)
Can you please check your coins of this type (all the years of issue that you have) and write me back what alignment they have:
this alignment ↑↓ (180 degrees, so called "coin alignment")
or this alignment ↑↑ (0 degrees, so called "medal alignment")
Possible years of issue:
1991
1992
1993
1997
2000
2002
2005
2008
Also, if you have 1 peso 2008, please check if it is magnetic or non-magnetic.
oh the 1997 peso was made in the Czech Republic And I believe they make coins in metal alignment. So I would think they made them that way. Sense they only made 1997 That may be why it the only year made that way
edit my mistake coins were made in Poland not the Czech Republic
1991: 10 x coin alignment
1992 DUARTE on bust: 7 x coin alignment
1992 DUARTE below bust: 7 x coin alignment
1993: 4 x coin alignment
1997: 4 x medal alignment
2000: 2 x coin alignment
2002: 5 x coin alignment
2005: 3 x coin alignment
You stated in your comment on the coin page: "Supposedly, the alignment of the sides may be different in each year of issue (now its clear only for the year 1993)". Don't you mean its clear only for the year 1997 (where there is no discussion about it that this year has medal alignment? Or do you mean "now its clear except for the year 1993? I'm not sure what you mean with that statement.
I guess the year 1993 is exactly the problem. When you look at the doubles for that year (https://en.numista.com/echanges/liste.php?piece=836)
you can see dozens and dozens members have that year, but all in coin alignment. So I guess the 1993 medal alignment is or very rare, or just a mistake taken over from Krause.
I think it's a very good idea of Jarcek to see which members have the 1993 medal alignment and contact them, if there are any. So Jarcek, help us out: how many members have the 1993 medal alignment.

I've added the line "1993 - medal alignment" just 2 days ago, because one user sent me an image of this coin at the mirror. So now all the users should check their coins and move them to another line if their coins have medal alignment - then we will see the statistics.
Also he claims that there must be 1992 and 2000, but he doesn't have images. I heard the same rumors here in Russia long ago, but I couldn't find neither the coins nor their images. And in SCWC there are 2 variants for the year 1997, but a confirmation for 1997 with coin alignment is still missing.

Okay, thank you very much for your information ciscoins, now it is all clear.
I hope you get enough reactions and co-operation of our members. And thank you for the effort you take to make our catalog as accurate as possible.
You know I was thinking maybe on the home page there should be a box Just for catalog updates please check your coins. A box were people who work on catalog can put coin page updates. So we can look to see if we need to move coins. And country's One were users cannot use. Like for this
Dominican Republic 1 peso 1991-2008 KM 80 page update. Please check your coins
Απόσπασμα: "Jarcek"And there is a limit of 40 different users contacted in one day.
Thank you for the lists. But now I can't even PM you back - it says that for me the limit is 10 people a day.
With this speed the research will take more than a year, I suppose.
That is weird, maybe it has something to do with number of forum posts or something like that. I do not know. But I do know that at least one another referee had the limit at 40/people/day.
Pick referees https://en.numista.com/team.php or people from forum that you know instead of random people. And of course, you do not have to write to everybody.

If I'm not mistaken it has something to do not with the amount of forum posts but with the amount of swaps. And ciscoins has no swaps.
But it's strange this limit is also for referees.

As for 1993, almost all have coin alignment for technical reasons. Another line appeared in the catalog recently and the members had not fill it: some new have not check yet, and others who have this year already, did not learn that the new line appeared already: they have to fill the data in the article again: their coins are automatically in coin alignment line.
Yes, I sent similar request in private messages some months ago and got answers that both alignments exist.

Can you please check the year 1997? It is said in your table that it has coin alignment. If it is really so, can you please make scans and a photo near a mirror?
