The early bank tokens from Canada are from areas like bank of Montreal (that one's easy) and Bank of Quebec (That one's easy too), Banque de peuple which is Montreal, but then there's City Bank. So does anyone know which City these ones are from?
City Bank was from Montreal.
Quebec Bank is also from Montreal, not from the city of Quebec. There were tokens of the same design depicting a Canadian Habitant and arms of the City of Montreal with names of these four banks on the ribbon on obverse. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces22506.html
I collect coins and tokens which circulated in Africa from 18th century to 2000. I sell about 7000 illustrated world coins from http://www.avscoins.com.
