Numista doesn't make differences between mintmark varieties. This is not only a French point of view as this concerns by the same way German, US, Russian coins having multiple mintmarks. However, there is a notable difference we are making for more general varieties, like in this case their thicknesses and, by the way, their weights.

I think i did not write it clearly enough or maybe you understood me wrong. I understand the differences between the sub-types of coins...I just wanted to know why France km#902.1 is twice included in the catalougue:
- once a numista entry on its own, just saying 902.1
- and once included in another numista entry, which inhibits 902.1-until 901.3
This is what I was pointing. Thickness and weight (as linked together) are the reason to split in 2 sheets.
