Numismatic Research Database (Coin collection & sharing)

3 αναρτήσεις
Hi all :wiz: ,

I had some time and built a numismatic website prototype for treasure hunters, coin collectors, numismatists and hobby archaelogists. As of now I have uploaded the first 500 coins out of 100,000 ancient/modern coins.
Main purpose is to provide a free platform tailored for sharing and researching findings and artefacts.

For example I manage my coin collection here:
Findings 2015

Website:
KAISERCOINS: A Numismatic Online Community

- it's a bit slow now, but will change once I move to a faster server
- doesn't support mobile devices at the moment

I would appreciate any feedback you have for example what do you miss on Kaisercoins in order to use it for researching?

Once you give me feedback I can integrate your suggestions or nice to haves. It's totally up to you how you would like to have the website.

Thank you and have a great weekend :-)
One of the things that I find missing is the ability to edit the information provided for the coin.

For example: when following the "Findings 2015" link, three coins are shown.  There are some mistakes and missing information that I could provide.

Here is the link for the coin on Numista: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces36463.html

Do not argue with ignorant people .. !! They will drag you down to their level, then pulverize you with experience ...
First, thank you for your feedback! Good point!

I took your feedback by heart and now you can edit information on coins. Only restriction I had was that only registered users can do this (security related), but don't worry a registration comes with no annoying newsletters, fees or whatsoever.
Difference between registered user and a non-registered user is that a registered user can manage and share a collection with his own coins and now can edit coins as well.

Much appreciate your support derf!
