Hi!
I just want to say something.
As first, message to all referees:
As you probably know, a lot of referees don't want to be a referee any more. The problem is of course that Xavier is not here. Also we lost two Numista Team members. So my conclusion is that referees are also not active any more. I don't know if any referee is still editing catalogue. I think that all stopped.
If some referee is still editing catalogue, please, reply here and explain something to us that maybe we don't know.
And now message to all others:
As you have just read this, please, stop making requests because probably, nobody is going to accept them. Don't add a coin if You don't have it or You want to swap it. Also you have to understand if your request is not accepted for a week or two or three weeks.
So please, referees, I think that the only thing we should do is to accept new coins requests so people can edit their collection and swap them.
I think this is the biggest nonsense that I have read on here so far, I have been making requests all the time, even today I made 35 of them (both additions and change requests) and till now 15 of them have been validated. I make requests every day for almost 1,5 years now (over 5000 in total) and the oldest request that hasn't been validated yet is from the 19th of July.
I can't understand why everyone screams that Numista is dying while the situation isn't that bad at all, for now, Numista is working great and there in fact is contact with Xavier and he is just busy with other-more important-things. If I understand well, there have been some conversations about the possibility to give someone else the same rights as Xavier, which I fully support. Just be happy with the great platform that he provides, I don't think there exists a similar website that is better than this one. Also there is a lot of information on here which you won't find in general catalogs like World Coins.
As far as I know, only a hand full of referees is gone (most of them not even because of the absence of Xavier) and 2 team members, which I am sorry for but also don't fully understand. If I look at my requests I see (on first sight) already at least 3 referees who have been saying that they didn't want to be a referee anymore and though are still validating requests.
I agree with Kuna, and with you Niels. However if Xavier is so busy, why doesn't he say so in a topic here? I'm not asking much only maybe once a month a message. Xavier stopped responding to my messages long before he 'left'. I can see that he read my messages and that's not the way to approach members nor referees, a little bit of appreciation from the guy might be nice.
Nordfljot Groningen-Friesland.
Referee for Dutch Republic, Netherlands and Frisia
I've been adding requests and they are being added normally, sometimes they took 10+ days to be added but that is normal for Mexico's referee, but he does review and add them, he often adds them just after a couple of hours I posted them.
Numista referee for the "Viceroyalty of the New Spain" (most of it).
History through coins.

Απόσπασμα: Mark240590The uk referee has been AWOL for about a year maybe even longer, however my submitted coins still get validated within a week, 2 tops.
mine get rejected, from the tutor I spoke with who agreed that I was right.

It's always between Zac, Kenny and Antoine. On rare occasion another referee may jump in but these guys keep the british coins and the empire going for me.
Life is tough but it has not ended. I have just verified 22 requests in my "refereedom". Xavi is clearly dead intellectually, but we should not kill the site by that.
Keep up the good spirit, although, it might seem like nonsense.
Someone, noteably Ben being the best candidate will take this trash over, and then life will become slightly better, so hang on...
Unless you have a totally new plan of revival.
PS. as for so called "teammembers", the system is DEAD. I hope the new master reconsiders seriously. We, indeed have TWO catalogue team-members left, that is Kenny and Zac. Rest have never been here or else? I have also met Makake who was a nice guys, but gone up in the air also...

If someone quotes another persons post with upward arrows (like these ^^) and says "This" "That" or something similar then arrows mean hes refering to a post above (yours in this case) and agrees with it, as if to say "would have written THIS myself, but u already said it".

So yeah, Euromunt means he agrees with your post.
Lovely. Thanks for the Y generation explanation to an IT dynosaur!

I want to give a big recognition to Makake77, he was the greatest team member I have worked with on Numista. He implemented the current uniform system that I introduced a few years ago on most pages, he modified images, he basicallly perfected Numista. He comes around from time to time to drop his opinion but he was a terrific member.
Also want to give a shoutout to Euromunt, apuking, Kuna, and whitegandalf for their ongoing contributions, if I were the admin I would undoubtedly invite them to the team.
Kenny
- Verifying your Asian and British-territorial coins everyday with the best quality photos and the best information.
-Second priority is getting new Team members (I guess we have some good candidates) though they still need to be given the rights by Xavier, so if someone is able to get Xavier fix this that would be great
-Third priority, adding the ideas that were approved in the forum (like the language thing and all other things), this may take a lot of time though.
Last 2 things can only be realized soon if Bam777 is granted admin rights, so let's hope that happens soon.
I have never said that I don't want to be a referee any more. I just said that I stopped being so active about making requests because I feel like I am doing something good to this site and the owner of this site (who should be very thankful to this) doesn't allow me that.
I feel stupid cause of that.
I also said that I want to be a referee for a few countries more so the team members don't have so much work to do.
I don't no how the country referees are selected. I am from Bangladesh & its referee is from India maybe !! He is not up-to-date with coins of Bangladesh & is only approving when I am adding a year / or a coin in the list. I have mailed xavier that I want to be the country referee but no answer / no nothing.
However if there is any referees out there please add 2013 year in the following coin. Its the new issue.
Me too, i would like that the referees of modern countries be from the actually country, like if your referee of Mexico, you should be of mexico, That way the referee will know what coins are new and be more easy than someone of the US, or from europe
I would like to thank the following members of the team who have responded with speed and diligence in verifying the many entries that I have been making to the catalogue:
