I'm looking forward to watching some sports over the next week or two. It's a pity they don't have rowing at the games or NZ would really clean up on the medal table.

We've still got some good gold prospects in Valerie Adams (shot-put), Nick Willis (1500m), cycling, rugby 7's, and netball.
I'm looking forward for the game. Last time we got total 101 medals. Our best ever performance. So, I hope this time will get some more.
Wrestling, badminton, shooting... my main point to watch for.
Today got a interesting news on newspaper. St Helena players traveled 8500 miles just to perticipate on the game. Hat's of to them.

By the way, waiting for start of the next Test match between IND and ENG. Too good matches happening there.

Yes! But no coverage of games here in normal tv... (by normal i mean not paid-for sport channels).
The only thing that has me slightly excited is the 50p

Yes - maybe it will appear in change next year, like 2013 coins are now seen. I thought they would make commemorative £2 coins like in 1986 and 2002 (top left, and all four on bottom row in picture below) ...

I love those 2002 coins, and buy every one I can get (which is what I did again this week - Scottish flag, and Welsh flag) as long as the price is right.  :)
Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins
Ah I just love the fact that all the minor sports that usually get no coverage on TV get plenty of air time for a couple of weeks.  When the weekend viewing is rugby, rugby, rugby or rugby with a couple of games of rugby league thrown in the mix.  It's really refreshing to be able to watch some badminton (a sport I play to a decent level) judo, taikwondo, wrestling, shooting etc.
Shame for NZ !!
You mean the sevens?  I don't care too much, our cycling team has more than made up for the failings in the sevens
Yeah, you just expect your lads to just run away with the rugby medals though.
Sevens is a bit of a lottery, you get something like a player getting sent off and all of a sudden you've only got 6 men defending a field 100m x 50m.  If you look at the world sevens leader-board, New Zealand were first on 180 points, South Africa were second on 166 so there wasn't much between them.  I'm waiting for our two almost guaranteed gold in the men's and women's shot-put now
