Canadian Lucky Loonie 2012 and 2014

Okay, 2012 is a commemorative coin for the London Olympic Games and 2014 for the Sochi Games, but in my opinion both coins are the same type.

Yes, I agree with your opinion. "Year" is the only difference between 2 coins, it could be the same type.

I agree. We should ask Eminem, Canadian referee to change that.

I'm not sure - maybe we should wait for the 2016 Lucky Loonie and see if this becomes the "typical" design for those coins. I am hoping it's just a lazy oversight because I liked the older changing designs...

We should receive a notice or something in the left panel, that our coins has been merged.
For example I have both this coins and if you decide to unite them, what would happen ? I would have 2 of the same type or it will show that I have just one?

Why to wait until 2016 when you can see that these coins are the same, just with different years?

Yes, then you would have 2 of them in different boxes for different years.

Well that's the thing; though they seem to be listed differently everywhere, they are technically the same and by numista standards they should be merged. What we'll likely do is leave the coins together as one page, and if Krause (which creates KM numbers for coins) eventually lists them as separate KM numbers, we can separate them again.
