Argentina 50 Centavos KM111

8 αναρτήσεις
Hello,

I have some of the mentioned coins but cannot identify, whether they are KM111.1 (fine letters) or KM111.2 (bold letters). I would identify the attached coin as "fine letters" - is this correct? Maybe somebody can post a picture of the other type (bold letters?) to compare?!

Thanks in advance!

I went and looked at my Argentina coins to see if I had any of these I have 1 from 1993 and 1 from 1994
when I looked at them there is no question the font on them is different
If you had one of each it becomes apparent which is which.

Just by looking I would say you have the fine font example I also counted the beads and got 96
I tried counting the beads on my 2, but my eyes went buggy

I would post a pic but my cam has no macro lens and I can not get clear pictures of coins
If I can I will get a friend to scan them and post so you can see the difference

If you have some of this era the font on the 25 centavos coins is the same

In fact I would say that if you compare the fonts on this web site for the 25 centavos coin the
Aluminum bronze coin is an example of the fine font and the coppper nickel coin is an example of the bold

Also, yours is the fine lettering, going by the date, as the 1 number does not have a line at the base; whereas the thick lettering does have a line. So as it is typed here  1  is fine lettering.  :)

Thanks for your answers, my friends!

Because of information in the other thread (sorry for opening a new one, although searching for it I did not find the existing thread) I identify my shown coin as "fine" lettered...

I figure by now you have seen lots of images but I did say I would post one so here they are
Side by side it is easy to see the difference
The 1994 fine font example here only has 72 rim beads unlike yours that had 96
the Obverse side on these coins also show both types

This is the bold font coin by it self

Hope this helps
Thanks for your answers, they were very helpful!
