the one that I have is 1991 D, but there is two different ones listed, I didn't know which one to pick and mark that I have. One says "coin alignment" and other "medal alignment".
I assume I have the medal alignment one because it has high minted quantity while the other ones mintage isnt given.
But what do these two alignments mean? How can I be sure?
oyee, yee, thanks, lads. I had not heard this term before, so didnt know what it means. Such a rookie, lol.
but yea, that is great way of remembering it that medal have to be both sides hanging same way
Απόσπασμα: ArnoVI always memorize it like this: a medal would hang on a string or ribbon, so obverse and reverse of the medal should have the same side up.
That was exactly what I was going to say! Great minds thinks the same, I guess
The coin alignment Swedish 10 kronor 1991 is actually a die rotation error, it was never supposed to have that alignment as all Swedish coins have the medal alignment.
OK, thats great to know. Wish that this kind of detailed info would be on a site when clicking on that coin.
Do you have any idea what could be the possible mintage of these? Tried to Google, but didnt find it.

When no mintage figures are given it is either unknown or it is a combined mintage figure with that of the other variety (coin alignment in this case) of the same year.

Yes, I think there needs to be a coin fact and history section for every coin page. This would make Numista even more AMAZING!
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!
Yea, it would. For example yesterday when I entered Lithuanian 10 centu 1997 there was two variants, because there was no picture to compare the two slightly different looks, I again didn't know which one I have.
Must get a new camera (old one died a graceful death due to old age) to upload a few coins pics that I need other peoples help with anyway... another thing in evergrowing list of things needed to buy. damn.

I checked in my Swedish coin catalog from 2012 and there are no such information, but there ain't many.
I.e.: An uncirculated 10 kronor from 1991 medal alignment are worth 2.3 USD (according to the Swedish catalog), and the 10 kronor 1991 coin alignment uncirculated are worth 153.96 USD. This tells us a little of how many (or few, if you like) coin alignment 10 kronor coins that are out there.
thanks for the "roses", that's why my collector friends and I try to document all our findings, since big, small, near, far, high, low and so on doesn't tell you much, does it?
A precision scale (0.01 mm), a precision caliper (0.01 mm) and a magnet are a must for every serious collector and the of course the means to make clear and sharp images. The high resolution images you can the treat in your image editor
thanks for more help Sjoelund.
The 10 centu info was really helpful.
Yea, unless you have pictures or both varieties to compare with it is impossible to know what these words like low, high, far, near, etc mean for an individual coin.
