I've found and ID this coin here. But have no idea what the value is. I'm new to coin collecting and would love to have more information and the value. Thank you for any help and your time.
Although this may seem like a rare find, what you have here is a fake. Chinese dollar coins are copied very often, and based on the cuds and weak strike on the obverse, I am leaning towards positive that this coin is fake.
I recommend checking the weight of the coin before drawing conclusions.

yep, husband just weighed it. It's suppose to be 27.4 it was 26.6
Left my son in tears, it was for him. That sucks. I was worried when I couldn't find it anywhere online lol.
Suggestions for alternatives that are also pretty nice
French 5 francs (crown sized and silver)
British crowns
Morgan/trade dollar
Spanish 5 peseta (1870 is best date )
and Philippine pesos (silver, USA administration)

That is not a great deal weight difference especially a coin of that age, it's only .8g out, wear and tear could make that difference easily. Have it checked properly or if possibly put separate pictures of obv & rev
A gram is actually a noticeable difference regarding coins like these.
What makes this coin fake, apart from weights (which is why I don't trust them) is the weak strike of the characters on the top of the coin, especially the Guang of Guangdong.

I go to my local flea market where this one seller sells no less than 100 fake silver world crowns for a buck each, along with common, cheap Morelos pesos from the 70's. But on the upside I get one or two rare coins every time for little to nothing.
