Help With Indian States Coin (find reference)

1 θέμα • προβλήθηκε 39 φορές

As I began to become familiar with Numista, I began using the forum (see Identification of a French Coin, Indian Coins, and a Chinese cash coin) to identify a few unknown coins, one of which was a coin that was apparently 2 paisa “Do Dundi” coin from the Maratha Empire. After the identification, I tried to look up the coin by adjusting the filters and even used the photos of the coin to find it on the catalog. And so since December of last year, I have tried to get the coin up on the catalog:

But every time, the ref rejects its addition to the catalog because it is apparently the same as N#44120& N#468723

I appealed every time the page gets rejected, and used a photo to prove that this coin I have is not the same in size:

But after the master ref sends back the request, the coin still gets rejected and the referee for these Indian states coins still puts the same two pages that I referenced earlier.

If you look at those two pages, you can see that the coins are not similar in details, size and weight.

For reference, here are some of the observations I found from the coin:

Issuer: Maratha Empire (Indian states)

Type: Standard circulation coins

Composition: Copper

Weight: 8.4 g

Diameter: 18 mm

Thickness: 5 mm

Now, after the third appeal, the master referee has asked to find a reference for these Indian coins.

The couple questions I humbly ask is: What is a good reference for such Indian States coins? Or, is this coin I have already on the catalog, and somehow I am unable to see it with the techniques I have used?

I hear every coin you jingle!
