Should ruling authority be assigned? (mint tokens)

6 αναρτήσεις • προβλήθηκε 26 φορές

Should mint set tokens have an assigned ruling authority? Currently, there seems to be no rule at all regarding this, and both is common. Which is a problem, because it makes navigation more complex, as they do not show up in chronological sequence

I can only speak for US mint tokens. They do not have the ruling authority assigned even though all the coins in the sets do. I think (not sure) that is because for the older Exumonia template ruling authority wasn't available. I don't see why they shouldn't since they are put out by the same Ruling Authority.

This is why the ruling authority is not on the mint set tokens

  • Do not add ruling authorities if the authority is not represented directly on the item.

I think that mint sets should have the ruling authority added and I will try a correct them this weekend. Unless more opinions say otherwise.

Pretty sure Treasury United States Mint means the ruling authority is the Federal republic (1776-date).

Sorry, I did not explain myself well enough. Because the majority of tokens do not have a ruling authority due to the guideline I shared. It was overlooked when the page was created and thanks to this post can now be corrected.

Think I have fixed them all. @Ma9nWaRr10 take a look at them and let me know if you see any that I missed.
