50th Annivesary of United Nations

Apart from FAO, 50th Anniversary of United Nations looks to be the only other theme of coins being issued by multiple issuers.

Can we have a series that contains all these coins?

I don't believe a series can contain coins from multiple issuers. @davidhs  ?

A series can have multiple issuers.

Check out Olympics 2016 held in Brazil.

OK. Then there's nothing stopping you from creating the series.

You can add this one to the series too …

I wonder how coordinated the issuance of the UN commemoratives was. As far as I understand, at least the Royal Mint had a specific programme for them, but there are plenty of pieces that are made by other mints, probably with little coordination. There are for example Finnish, Russian and Polish coins which were at least made in those countries.

Maybe instead of an official series, they should be considered to be a theme or something similar. The FAO coins were coordinated by an organization, and I am not sure how true that is for the UN 1945-1995 coins.

Not sure about the coordination with UN, but majority of the coins commemorating the event have the same logo, irrespective of the mint.

This is the point to consider. There are series issued by various issuers, of course. For example the 10th anniversary of Economic and Monetary Union https://en.numista.com/catalogue/series.php?id=59 series with 2€ commemorative coins.

But these coins with theme the 50th anniversary of United Nations are not a series, they are loose coins with the same theme (unless their issuers have agreed to a joint issue, which is unlikely).

There are some series inherited from the old series text field, which are not true series, but a miscellany of objects with the same theme. For example:

Chinese Zodiac https://en.numista.com/catalogue/series.php?id=2598
Chinese Zodiac Bullion https://en.numista.com/catalogue/series.php?id=2600
Chinese Zodiac Series https://en.numista.com/catalogue/series.php?id=2602
Chinese Calendar https://en.numista.com/catalogue/series.php?id=2572
Chinese Lunar Year https://en.numista.com/catalogue/series.php?id=2585

I recently divided a miscellaneous series about the UNESCO World Heritage into different series and loose coins:

Because that is the official logo of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations: see image here https://1995blog.com/2015/10/23/the-un-at-50-palaver-pomposity-and-the-newspaper-lead-of-the-year-1995/

Wanted & swap list (euro coins & world coins, exonumia and banknotes circulated) https://goo.gl/AQjfKp - I have euro & world CC coins for swap.
