Good hunting this April to both the regular contributors to this page and any new comers - Enjoy your Exonumia !!!
Ok, this arrived yesterday, but I'm claiming it as April!
An enormous, heavy lead “souvenir penny” for the British Empire Exhibition 1924 - one of my collecting interests and I'd never seen this before!
Now in the catalogue: N#570096
And it's not an April Fool! 😁

Not got anything for a while - then now got 12 items -
all from the same seller, so saving postage. Last night I saved 14 pages
of the ones I liked, then sadly 2 of them had been sold since. Had to
look through them first, to check I did not already have them.
First four can not find much information about …
#1 - Nürnberg Rechenpfennig Jeton Bienenkorb 26mm / 3,2g
[FOR IMITATION / IETTON // SIEG UND LOHN / IETTON]
#2 - Nürnberg Rechenpfennig Jeton Preussen Wilhe 20mm / 0,7g
[FRIED WILH IV K V PREUSSN // RECH PFEN]
#3 - Nürnberg Rechenpfennig Jeton Iohannes 24mm / 2,9g
[IOHANES NEPOMUCR / IETTON // ORA PRO NOBIS / IETTON]
#4 - Nürnberg Rechenpfennig Jeton Romulus Remus 28mm / 4,7g
[REMUS ET ROMULUS // ??? LAUER RECHPF M / 1620]
[Possibly fire damaged]
Got all of these yesterday in a bag of mixed coins (mostly old pennies).
Could do with some help identifying these please…
It appears that neither of these are genuine coins, but I'm still looking into exactly what they are. So far, the closest I can find is…
Etsy - copy ‘Commemorative coin with countermark 8 Reales 1803 Charles IIII’ onto your web browser and it should come up under Etsy
N#452123 (Mine is 36mm across and 3mm thick - Brass)
Also, no idea what this is - clearly a Replica, but what of? And, who produced it/where is it from?…
Also, this Monty Hammond ‘Funfair’ token…

I'll add all of these onto Numista as I find out more info.

Some fantastic finds this month, so far. Let's all hope the rest of the month goes equally well. 😊
Franklin Mint 1970-1975, “Patriots Hall of Fame”
This series of 100 portraits was commissioned by the Freedoms Foundation of Valley Forge, which still exists.
They all have the same reverse, Geo. Washington praying at Valley Forge.
Some of my most recent aquisitions:
Spanish medal from 1922
Swedish medal from 1957
Dutch medal from 1917

Just looking to see if I can find the reproduction aluminium coin I've found (above) and discovered this website - Useful !!
https://www.museumreproductions.co.uk/shop/viewcategory.php?groupid=42
See: GRVNAL
Still cant find what it is though. 😒
Found this on door step. No one is saying we're it came from. Very odd thing to find.
medieval torture museum. Very big 52 mm dia, 5mm thick. And weight of 50 g
Nothing especially interesting this month from me. Thinking about introducing a separate thread called ‘ The monthly ‘Tut’ corner’ for all those bits of exonumia that people would have preferred not to have found (but can't find it in their heart to get rid of). :-(

A couple of Johnny Cash ‘pressed pennies’ (not yet catalogued)- and not to everyone's taste
More from the monthly ‘Tut Corner' 😶
Another pressed penny, but this time with an unusual theme - Miami Vice.

Not sure if this is a permanent display that's part of a wider theme park, or some sort of temporary show, but is seems a bit odd that they put a pressed penny machine into the customer zone for people to get a cheap momento.
Also these…
