Jordan 1949 and 1955 series no actual difference? [επιλυμένο]

Did anyone notice that these two series have no difference? Although there are a lot of decorations around Arabic inscriptions they do not bore the name of the king, as I previously thought. Krause also listed some weights wrong which was corrected here - but if I'm not wrong they're basically the same coin types!

We usually do not separate these based on historical catalog separation on numista (due to different ruler etc)

KM says they are different, so I have always taken it for granted. But after a close look, I do see a difference between the 1949 and 1955 series, mainly in the alignment of the written-out denomination (ONE FILS, FIVE FILS, TEN FILS, etc.) and the word KINGDOM above it.

Ah, and that is because the 1949 series has the legend ‘Kingdom of the Jordan’, and the 1955 series ‘Kingdom of Jordan’.

That is correct. Thank you very much, I missed that and it's so obvious. I focused more on the arabic side… So many examples where KM say they're different but they're the same although mostly it's in 19th century, or early 20th for Belgium e.g.  - this would have been the newest such occurrence though.

I'm glad this thread was posted, I'd never noticed the difference on the English side either. I always assumed it was Krause being silly since the rulers were different.
