- Description (EN): It was a Spanish pharmaceutical laboratory founded in 1870 by Salvador Andreu Grau (1841, Barcelona – 3 October 1928, Barcelona), a Spanish businessman in the pharmaceutical industry, real estate developer, and philanthropist, with the name Doctor Andreu's Laboratories. The company developed products focused on asthma and cough. Upon the death of Andreu Grau, the business was continued by his sons under the name of Sons of Doctor Andreu, and in 1947 it took the name of Doctor Andreu. In 1972, the company sold 88% of its capital to the Spanish company Cros. The integration of Cros into the holding Ercros in 1988 and the crisis in the chemical sector led to the sale of Doctor Andreu to the Swiss multinational Hoffman-La Roche in 1989. A few months later, the new owners eliminate the company.
