So I recently purchased a new penny for my medieval collection.

It is a lead coin from the reign of William the Conqueror, it is identical to the profile right type (N#299443), except it's not what you'd call a standard circulation coin. There was a listing for this coin on historyincoins.com, which seems to be gone now, but I took a screenshot of the listing because it was the only thing I could find on it.

It says something about them being customs cheques or passes. But I'm not too sure where that would fall under on here.
I intend on adding this coin to the catalogue so any help as to what it is would be appreciated.
