Mintmark - Saxe Gotha Altenburg - 1/2 Thaler - 1776

Hello,

Does anyone know who the mintmaster of the coin below is? If you look closely at the small mark beneath the bust on the obverse (which resembles a tiny goose or bird), it appears to be the mintmaster’s privy mark. However, I haven’t been able to find any reference for it.

Mintmaster's mark is LCK. There is no information on who used crane mark in standard catalogue of world coins. As far as I can see crane was used from 1764.

Ludwig Christian Koch was die cutter in Gotha in 1750-66 and mintmaster in 1766-93.
