I have a coin mentioned above similar to KM#430 N#1822 but struck in zinc. The other differences with KM#430 are thickness (1,76 mm), which is bigger than the standard copper-nickel coin and weight (4,96 g) which is less than copper-nickel coin. The diameter is the same. The edge is reeded. The differences in thickness and weight are understandable since zinc is lighter than copper-nickel alloy.
I could not find other Egyptian coins like mine in zinc online, nor any reference to it in general catalogues like KM or Schön. I don't have the
MHC https://en.numista.com/literature/volume.php?id=2186 and would appreciate if colleagues who have this or another Egyptian national catalogue, kindly check in it, if there were metal trials like this mentioned in it.
