Hi all, I am putting my collection on Numista, it will take years and sometimes I also find troubles like this: I have the 3 french 10 centimes coins KM895, 896 and 897.

According to Krause I put as

KM 895 the one “Without dash below MES in C MES”

KM 896 corresponds to the one “with dash below MES in C MES year 1941 with no dots before and after”

KM 897 is “with dash below MES in C MES dot before and after 1941”

When I look at Numista page for these 3 coins I read:

KM 895 - Underlined, without dot (Krause KM896)

KM 896 - Underlined, dot before and after date (Krause KM897)

KM 897 - Not underlined, no dot before and after date (Krause KM895)

Is there a reason for this change? Usually Numista is very respectful of Krause numbering…

Ciao,

Dario

You are correct and Numista is wrong.

The year line references need to change as such:

I don't know if the Gad#, Schön# and Franc 2014# are correct or not.

The two graphics will also have to change to match the Krause numbers.

@Sjoelund @Compendium

you can simply post a change request linking to this thread :-)

Done😉 let's see what happens

They are already different well defined variants, so what should I do?

Those are my documentations?

Change the km numbers.

That's correct, the numbers in Numista are wrong

Here they are, that was easy!

Who'll make the CR?

Sorry, but looking at the Numista page is still all wrong in the 3 year lines and in km895 and 896 pictures.

If you need some help I can write what should be red in the respective lines… you could use the Krause descriptions I put in my first message or I can write them more clearly if you prefer

You forgot to change this one to km896 (or uploaded the old file).

I will make the CR.

You need to be patient. Your forum request is still open. https://en.numista.com/forum/topic165157.html

Also I'll remind of what I already posted here: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic165153.html#p1271838 “I don't know if the Gad#, Schön# and Franc 2014# are correct or not.” Somebody with those catalogs will need to verify the accuracy of the year line references and year line comments. No sense correcting one without making sure all are correct.

No need for a forum request, you could have modified the page directly :-)

I did it now

Hi Compendium,

thanks for changing the yearlines, the pictures, unfortunately, still refer to the wrong coin numbers generating confusion. If someone can, I would suggest to modify them as indicated by rsirian1, otherwise it would be better to erase them.

Please do the modification requests, I think Ole posted above the corrected versions of images.

Like for yearlines, you dont need a referee to do the modification request :-)

I don't know what do you mean by modification requests, if you mean that I should change the pictures myself, I don't know how to do it and I am not sure I have the qualify to do that. As rsirian1 just indicated, both pictures put in the comment section are wrong, the one for km895 should refer to km896, while the one for km896 is good for km897, the author should just correct the numbers. Finally a picture for km895 could be added, this is the only part I can really do myself, but if the other pictures are not corrected yet, it would generate a mess, so I will do just as a final addition if you agree.

I already said I will do the change request for the two graphics. One was modified and I'm waiting for the other to be modified.

@Sjoelund

Have the other references been checked as I suggested?

I can only speak about KM references as I have not the other catalogues…

I was asking the referee I think.

I am referee for medieval coins mainly @Goldxi65 is the main referee for modern coins he may have the catalogues

Ah. Hard to tell that from this:

or this:

And I did check both first.

I don't blame you nor refused to be tagged, I'm just explaining why I did not comply to your request of checking other references. Unfortunately when you are referee it's for all.times of the issuer. Its why I took only standard circulating, this way at least I don't even see requests for modern NCLT

Btw, I hope other codes are right because if not it means they were added based on KM instead of based on types

Compendium

Btw, I hope other codes are right because if not it means they were added based on KM instead of based on types

That's exactly why I want it checked.

It was

KM# 895, Schön# 194c.1, Gad# 288a

KM# 896, Schön# 194c.2, Gad# 288b

KM# 897, Schön# 194c.3, Gad# 288c

Now:

KM# 896, Schön# 194c.1, Gad# 288a

KM# 897, Schön# 194c.2, Gad# 288b

KM# 895, Schön# 194c.3, Gad# 288c

The time to make sure is now.
