RIC 1 52- Rome mint struck 64-65 AD aureus- obverse:  NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS laureate head right, with reverse showing legend IVPITER CVSTOS translation = Jupiter the guardian, it shows Jupiter seated left on throne holding thunderbolt in right hand and scepter in left, Jupiter is bare to waist with cloak round lower limbs. This issue commemorates the protection of Nero from the Pisonian conspiracy of 64-65 AD.  Unfortunately Nero with the help of his conscript committed suicide three years later in 68 AD.  Joe Geranio photo Collection and text.
