Colleagues, an hour ago I won such a mixed lot where there are silver medieval, bronze Byzantine. But I went to the auction for this knife-pre-coin currency of China. The auction turned out favorably for me and financially very successful.

My question? Why did the seller list the year 890 BC?

The coin is a pre-coinage currency of ancient China with six characters. Authenticity is guaranteed by the seller! I expect the shipment by Wednesday.

The year is not correct, more close would be 220-400 BC. That looks like Qi knife, which is very expensive and rare, if authentic.

Thank you for the information, if it turns out that the knife is a fake, the seller would refund my money. He shouldn't ruin his reputation considering the rating. The only possibility would be that he doesn't know anything about it either. But he has a link to a specific catalog or marking. So I'll wait until someone else comments.

It is from his collection that he has had for a long time. Now he wants to sell everything (all albums, 20 kg, he has it at auction) he is trustworthy.
