1974 proof of only 16.63 grams

Hallo people,

I have the coin in the original pouch with a “certificate” stating 1973. Coin is however 1974 with the weight of the KM#104.2.

I am wondering if this is a known type or an error? The 1974 coins i can find are all stated as being 20 gr

I'd be gratefull for any additional info.

Hello.

If you look on the coin page you'll see an auction example from The Coinhouse Auctions for a 1974 Proof (KM 104.1) with the weight of 16.75 grams.  So there's something going on here that's not according to the weights in Numista. SCWC has 16.75 g for KM 104.1 and 16.45g for KM 104.2. I don't know where 20 grams came from.
