Many replicas and contemporary counterfeits have marks (mint, mint official) copied from their base type. These marks are not of the mint that made the replica or counterfeit so they are not written in the mint letter and other marks fields of the year line.

Now these marks are written in the comments field of the type, for example:

However this is written in a text field, so not all users add this information, or use the same format, and this should be added in English and French.

Could be added fields for marks of the base type in case of replicas or contemporary counterfeits.

Why do the fake and the actual 5 pesetas coin share the same picture and why does the fake have a KM number?

And why we still don't have a notice (a link, preferably) about known counterfeits/replicas on the original coin page?

Thank you for advise, I did not notice… and they share other fields. One of these is erroneous. I will ask to referees.

The links are allowed from counterfeits/replicas to the original object, but not from the original object to counterfeits/replicas.

The guidelines https://en.numista.com/help/links-134.html mention imitations/countermarks but I think counterfeits/replicas are similar cases.

Yes, I do not know what happen with these coins. The same day of your post I found another case. There are already three.

I submitted a request to remove some values of the contemporary counterfeit page and say them the images are shared (I saw the marks and I think the images are of the base type).
