Hi everyone,
I was flipping through one of my catalogues and noticed that there are chrome plated and “No Chrome” varieties for a few years of canadian nickels, mainly 1944 and 1945 (not listed on numista). It mentions the missing chrome nickels appearing dull gray while the chrome plated nickels are bluish-white.
The only photographed examples I've found are relatively shiny and do not have a lot a wear. I am wondering if anyone could help me 1) identify mine, and 2) provide a resource that could help be differentiate in the future.
Thanks!
