I would love to have a list of coins larger than 40mm, and it needs to be affordable and maybe not silver if too costly so, anyone know any *relatively* cheap coins larger than 40 mm? Thank you.(I really want a coin larger than a crown)

Use the catalog to find coins bigger than 40mm…

Go to the Size setting and type in 40-50/60/70 (what ever size you want to go up to) and there will be a list for you to browse.

I did 40-50 and there are over 3000.

Non-precious

41-99mm

That long list is a start -  could not enter *relatively* cheap in the search.

Just seen another reply while I was making mine.

The 851 can be got down to 364 if only modern coins are chosen.

I did the same, I have 2 - both from Tonga!

This one is rarest only 8000, but there seems to be many readily available for sale.

Actually that search misses 138 coins larger than 40 mm but smaller than 41 mm. So should be 502 coins.  https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?r=&st=147&cat=y&im1=&im2=&ru=&ie=&ca=3&no=&v=&a=1900-2024&dg=&i=&b=&m=np&f=&t=40.01-99&t2=&w=&mt=&u=&g=&se=&c=&wi=&sw=

Thanks!(Why is it the Caribbean coins are the most feasible ones I can buy🧐🤨)

1797 George III cartwheel twopence.

Diameter: 41mm

Weight: 56.7g

Composition: Copper

The British 1797 twopence coin, also known as the "Cartwheel Twopence," was minted during the reign of King George III. Struck in copper, it was designed by Matthew Boulton and produced at the Soho Mint in Birmingham. Weighing a hefty 56.7 grams and measuring 41mm in diameter, it was one of the first British coins to be struck using steam-powered machinery. The coin featured a laureate bust of George III on the obverse and Britannia seated on the reverse. Its large size and weight were intended to deter counterfeiting, making it a distinctive piece in British numismatic history.

Or if you are into Micronesia coinage, you might have to up the size to 3600 millimeters.

Russian empire 5 kopeks 1791-1796 is 45mm

Depends on what you mean by affordabl, what is affordable to some may not be affordable to others

Yes you are right. Then again if the OP could afford a coin like the one you posted they probably would not need to add that disclaimer to their question.

Affordable to me is MAX 5 pounds for any coin, but I’ll even go to 10 or 15 if it is REALLY worthy (Tong 2 pa’anga and Eastern Caribbean states 10 dollars 1981 are probably what I’d think of buying for 15 to 20 pounds)

Great I believe in tailoring your collection to your pocket, so as not to let your collection cost you money you don’t have.

I've paid 7.5 € for the Eastern Caribbean States 10 dollars 1981 and less than 9 € each for 4 different Tonga 2 pa'anga coins, so you should find them too for less than 15 pounds sooner or later.

Sadly, over here in india, eBay and Etsy cost too much (Shipping), and other sites, if any cost an exorbitant amount since India, at least so far does not have a dedicated coin collection community to be able to sell coins with lots of supply to have relatively cheap prices. 2 pa’Anga is out of stock on trusted websites here and 10 dollars ECS 1981 costs around 17 pounds here. Most other coins larger than 40 mm also cost above 10 pounds or 1000 INR. Sad, I know😢
