I have a coin dated 1765 that is essentially identical to https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces.39191.html except for the following:

Below the bust for Francis I and above the bow of the wreath at the bottom of the obverse are the letters “B.O.”

On the reverse, to the left of the pedestal with “20” on it are the letters “S.K.”

On the reverse, to the right of the pedestal with “20” on it are the letters “P.D.”

Is this coin in the Numista catalog? I could not find it…

Thanks.

Again typing error in your link (no dot after pieces). Here's the right link: N#39191

Pictures of your coin would help.

Your coin is not from Austria but from Hungary: N#24637

S.K. - P.D. = Sigismund Klemmer von Klemmersberg and Pascal Damiani: Mint Masters

Essor Prof,

Thank you so much. That is exactly the coin I have.

Please forgive my bad typing; I never learned how to type properly, and thus use only two fingers when I type. Slow and sometimes it causes errors.

One final question, if I may:

Now that I have the Numista webpage for this coin (thanks to you), do you know why this coin is cataloged under Hungary by Numista? My old, hard copy of the 5th edition of the SCWC 1701-1800 has the coin under Austria, as do the Numismaster and NGC websites. The “KM-2030” designation appears under Austria in those sources; contemporary 20 krajczar coins have KM numbers (under Hungary) in the 300s. Also, they (the 20 krajczar coins) all appear to have an image of the Madonna and child above the pedestal with “20” on it on the reverse of the coin, not the Hapsburg double-headed eagle (which is above the pedestal on the reverse of the KM-2030 coins like the one I have).

Again, thanks for the assist with this!

Krauze at the start of their Austrian section tells that SKPD and EVM are mint masters in Kremnitz (Hungary before first significant emotional event in 1914-1918). Year lines in KM2030 are pointing only at Hungarian mint.
