Got this coin with BEESHAM BRADLEY WILLEY SNEDSHILL on it otherwise the same?

They're under Emergency coinage.

Exists in silver as well.

The coin was in use at the time and it seems the edge writing was added to a legitimate coin by various merchants. Therefore it is catalogued by Dalton & Hammer, together with numerous contemporary counterfeits. 

The guy you bought from was OK - you've got a rare coin, with value not less than 30-40$ in VF state.

How do you know it's that one?  Maybe one of these.  What year is on it?

OK. I took a second look at the Dalton & Hammer catalogue (1910) for edge lettering “WILLEY SNEDSHILL BERSHAM BRADLEY” and here are the results:
