Improving the series function

Hello,

While adding medals from the Fête des Vignerons, I created a series to group all the medals from this event from 1819 to 2019. However, medals from before 1848 (i.e., before the creation of the Swiss Federal State) are classified under the issuer Canton of Vaud, while those after 1848 are classified under Switzerland. This results in the medals being split into two distinct series:

To view them together, I have to do a new search, removing the issuer filter. I think it would be helpful if, by default, searches were conducted using the primary issuer of the country.  

Additionally, I believe it would be beneficial to have a way to group all medals in the catalog by Department/State/Canton and by municipality, as I previously suggested here: https://fr.numista.com/forum/topic139166.html

Collectors often seek coins, medals, or tokens from their city or region, and I think this would greatly enhance Numista. I’m willing to dedicate my time to help complete this potential database.

I agree it would be nice to control for which issuers a series is applicable. It will be done by the end of the year as part of the development to have a database of series with enriched information.
