Nepal(?) Coin Identification Request

Not quite sure what I have here. Best identification I can make is 1969 Nepal Rupee, listed on Numista here: N#29341

While the diameter is consistent with the Numista listing, the weight is off - Numista has the weight as 10.2 g., but this weighs in at 7.71 g. The reference guide cited on Numista does not state a weight, so I am not sure where the Numista weight came from (see image attached).

The next closest coin I can find, by weight, does not appear to match the year (see N#26252). I also could not find another, similar coin with the correct weight in the reference guide.

Anyone have any idea what is going on here? This doesn't seem like a coin worth faking at all but...is that what this is? Or does Numista list the wrong weight? Or have I misidentified this? Or something else?

Here's an example from Zeno, weighing 9.84 g with a diameter of 27.5 mm.

The corresponding 50 paisa coin looks very similar, so I thought that might be it,  but it has a weight of 5.01 g and diameter of 23.5 mm, which apparently do not match your coin.

I would recheck the weight on your coin, with a calibrated balance. 

It would also seem possible that manufacturing standards were sloppy, resulting in your lightweight coin. 

Thank you! I will check it again tonight. Interesting that the weights on these seem to at least vary a bit. Wonder if I can find anyone else who has one to weigh and compare as well?
