I would appreciate if you would make editting the issuing years
possible.

If not, so please change following things:

SPAIN:

Hi PCRus,

Editing the issuing year is not possible when people have added the year in their collection. If I delete the year, members collection will be affected. So I don't.

Best regards,
Xavier
Hm. That's bad, because some years do not accord to the KM# and there will be a big chaos if people will still be able to add years.

e.g.

http://www.numista.com/catalogue/pieces765.html?lang=en

delete the year 1939

http://www.numista.com/catalogue/pieces2386.html?lang=en

delete the year 1935

These two coins have a completely other design and KM#.

Isn't there really no solution?
Because I think beginners also use Numista and if they add every time a false information, you can imagine the results.

Best greetings,
Stanislav.
You are right. There should not be issuing years for the wrong KM#.
The solution is to move issuing years from one coin to the other.
Tell me if you see such errors. I already rectified the 2 USSR coins.
Hi, I joined yesterday and I have noticed the same thing.  The United Kingdom half penny for example.

1953 was a one year issue, KM#882.

The years 1954, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67 and 1970 are similar but are KM#896.
I would have a suggestion for solving this problem:
Some members should manage 1-2-3-4-... countries.

I mean take the KM catalogue and enter all available data on Numista, so that no editting by other users should be possible. Just "lock" coins, after all data is entered.
Is it possible to upload data, like you are able to download.

From an excel file?

I have my collection of around 2000 coins on an excel spreadsheet with all KM numbers, denominations, years etc.
Thinking about it I can see that this might cause a problem with the coins that are already in the database.  B.
