Hello everyone

Maybe try to measure the coin with a caliper across the whole coin. Edges seems worn. This might explain difference in thickness at the edges. and the Gap you have when you stack the 1950 with the worn 1945.
if not clear let me know i’ll make a sketch to explain.
Ma 1945 est 1.69mm et pèse 2.21g
Ma 1959 est aussi 1.69mm, mais pèse 2.16g.
Donc pas des différences.
MSMIXX Coin.
-0.3mm on a aluminum coin in this condition don’t seems abnormal.
your post was transferred to the French section by Frenchlover, same comments there.
Sjoelund coins were already 0.11 down from nominal I would assume his coins are in a decent shape.
no known light variety for the 2frcs.
i‘ll try to remember and check if i see something in July.
Regards
I tested some of my spare 2Francs Morlons (1941-1959)
There is a standard distribution for the weight and one coin gets a significant smaller width.
This coin is not more used than others

Yet, after several different measurements, I saw that the width of the rim varies from 1.50mm to 1.65mm.
So on this particuliar coin, it's a manufacturing variability (or wear ?)
