2006 UNC value of US $41 is out of line with reality.

It is based on the 3 past sales on the page.

All 3 of those auctions were for rare error coins.

Normal non-error coins will obviously not be worth that value.

We don't list error coins so they also shouldn't be used in auction lists IMO.

Since this report was going nowhere, I decided to fix this one coin myself by submitting Sale modification requests to change the year from 2006 to Undermined.

The value of a 2006 UNC coin went from the very unrealistic $41 to a very reasonable  $0.54 overnight.

So the problem with this coin is fixed but there could be others.

Found this while looking for something else.  https://en.numista.com/forum/topic107402.html#p885074

I've had a CR pending since 2 Jan 2026 to modify an error coin auction sale to keep it from influencing the Numista value calculation. The referee has been waiting for direction from the Admins to allow this type of change. Bumping this post to try to get an answer.

@Jarcek  ?

Hello,

We will implement an option to define a sales record as a mint error. These sales records will be ignored in price calculation.

There is now a field “Mint error” when adding or modifying a sales record. Sales records for mint errors are ignored from the price calculation.

Maybe for ease of translating this feature and no need for Mint error, Printer error …, simply 'Error' with a tool tip explaining what is meant could be a good idea?

It should be done for printing errors (banknotes) too

Maybe like this?

Why not just “Error” or “Production error” since banknotes do not come from a mint. The main idea is to encourage an actual error & not PMD, etc. Does that make sense?

It looks perfect otherwise.

Agree. I think that was Idolenz's thought too.
