The weight of this coin is 13,4 gr, my question is, if somebody has an idea about the overstrike. The only visible sign is a “B” in a broad circle on reverse.
The majority of the coins of this type were struck on reformed blanks, i.e. refrappées on other coins. The half shield with palms was struck on the half shields with 8L within the framework of the second reformation following the edict registered on September 12, 1693.
