Range of catalogue numbers from the same catalogue

I don't know if it has been implemented somehow, but… 

Some coin types may be attributed to one catalogue number by KM and to e.g. 10 catalogue numbers by another local catalogue. Then to add local catalogue numbers I have to add 10 of them in 10 different fields or to add them using “-”. The first way overloads the page, in the second one numbers become not searchable.

On the other hand, some catalogues use “-” as a part of their numbers, so it shall be any other way to enter such numbers. I propose to create a possibility to add all the numbers using “;” and they would be authomatically converted to the less long text to be shown on the page, but wpuld become searchable… Like "3; 4; 5; 6; 7; 8; 10; 12; 13" shall be converted to “3-8; 10; 12-13”

The first approach is what the guidelines say to use, using a hyphen for a range of catalog numbers hasn't been allowed by the guidelines for as long as I've been reading the guidelines.

If you want to specify a range put it in the comments field.

I agree – I think it is very important for the catalogue numbers to be searchable.

Perhaps put the lowest catalogue number in the Cat No. field, and the others in the comments.

Its already in Xavier roadmap to make searchable numbers even when included in a range (like give the result if you look for 303 and entry displays 300-305)

A problem are these non continuous ones like only all odds or evens or worse random clusters.

I would like to have a system were you can select your reference and can add any number of sub-numbers myabe make it expandable in the coin page window if there are too many entries or they are too long.
Like:
