Civil War token identification (NY-630-L-??) [επιλυμένο]

I am having some difficulties with the following civil war token. It is a bit worn but I think it can be identified. I believe it is dies 29315/1060 unfortunately I do not see that as an option in the reference. Thought I would reach out to those that can help here.

My argument on the above for die 29315 is the left leg of the H is not lined with the center of the T as with die 29310. The right leg is more inline with the T as Fuld shows in the book. The two dots are pretty worn but you can make them out below the S and T in ST but I do not see how they play a part in 29310 and 29315.

Pretty sure this is die 1060 based on the D and the 8th feather.

Any help is greatly appreciated

JL,

You are correct. That is 29315/1060, and you are correct in the “H” and how it lines up with the “T” in 41st. I can't find an example picture to show you, but on Merchant die #29310, the left leg of “H” literally lines up near perfect with the vertical leg of the “T” in 41ST. Little bit of a placement difference in the engraving of both dies. “H” is slightly turned different. Judging by the example in the book, Whitman - A Guide Book of Civil War Tokens, Die 29310 cracked judging by the cud in the picture.

The dots below ST line up with the centers of each letter, S and T, in later dies, where they are closer to each other in earlier dies.

I have an interesting copy of N# 337043, or N#121631; I honestly can't tell the difference. Shouldn't there be one N# with varieties listed under? I don't have any reference books, and am very thankful for the link to this forum with the illustrations. I can at least identify the reverse, based on the headband feathers pressed into the die.

If you could post pictures someone here might be able to assist you in identifying it. and yes, those pages should be combined and I will work on it today.

Thanks for the reply. I will attempt to come up with photos, but there are a couple of difficulties. First, I live off the grid, without both electric and internet. So everything must be done by phone, and service is spotty.

Also, I'm pretty much illiterate with the technical stuff.

Photos will have to be by phone, and I have no way of cropping. It's easiest for me to attach photos to text or email. I'll try to follow your recommendations.

Based on what I think I know so far, I believe the obverse is 29310. (ref.?) There's a capital ‘H’ between bust and date, and multiple cracks in the die. It probably shattered not long after.

I'm running out of data for the month.

Many thanks.
