I've searched the internet for images or descriptions the coin km11.2 and found only the km11.1. Does anybody have a catalog specialized in Cuban coins? I would be very interested to know, if the km11.2 coin really exists, I got one in an exchange marked as km11.2, which I miss, but as you can see here, the coin is in a bad state. Anyway I'm sure it's the km11.1, since I can see the dot ofter the G.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Here is the coin I had as a placeholder in my collection. I never noticed that the coin had lost nearly the full Ni layer, when I added it years ago into my collection! Anybody has an explanation to that?

Thanks

Edit: the coin in the first message weighs 4.58 gr and this one without the Ni layer weighs 4.77 gr. Strange, isn't it?

Heavily corroded.  Corrosion byproduct increases coin weight.  There is really no nickel layer, it's copper-nickel alloy throughout.

Found this:

Thanks a lot, I also always thought cu-ni was an alloy and not Ni on Cu, but that coin really surprised me.

Can I use your found coin for one of my normal graphics?

Enjoy the weekend

They are from LastDodo (L in the corner).  Their ToU says no, not without their permission.  Since we know it exists, I'll search PCGS unless you have already.

No, I have not, I just made a general google search, so please feel free to continue.

Nothing in PCGS for km 11.2.  Also struck out on internet search except for a few claiming to be 11.2 but pictures had the period after the G.

I didn't do better, see PM.
