Help Identifying Hammered Coinage. Eastern Europe/Bohemia/Silesia Part 3

4 αναρτήσεις • προβλήθηκε 63 φορές

Hi All,
Part 3.

A friend has asked for help identifying coins in the attached pictures for a friend of theirs. I'm still trying to get information on weights and sizes, but there is a language barrier. My collecting interest isn't in this part of the world or period of time, so I'm stuck. I've managed to identify around half of the collection and tdziemia has been a superstar and come up with ID's on some others.  I'm still seeing these things in my sleep!

I'll post another thread shortly with others as I don't want to blast them all here at once. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This last one is more of a confirmation (I hope) if possible. I believe it to be: 1 Schildgroschen - Friedrich II der Sanftmütige Freiberg

N#109736 Would that be right?

Any help greatly appreciated.

(The last pair of photos are duplicates of the previous post).

Thank you again, sorry for the duplicate post, I didn't think I'd asked about that one. I think my brain is suffering.

If you are ever in Devon, UK, let me know and I will buy you lunch.

No problem.  I collect Poland and nearby places to a lesser extent (including Silesia), so I was familiar with some of the types in Posts #2 and #3, but those in the first post were less common.  If the owner wants to research the market value of the coins, the best places are the WCN archive, www.wcn.pl (but it works best using Polish search terms, in this case "Śląsk halerz"), or www.onebid.pl which I think is more English-friendly.

Thank you for the offer!  We might be in South Downs in the fall … Not close enough but you'd be surprised the lengths I go to for a free lunch.
