I can't find this IR prefix. Am I simply looking in the wrong place, or is it a new tag for the existing page or maybe a modification in the catalogue?

That's because it's a regular prefix (10,000,000 run) part of the P-86a & regular prefixes are never mentioned (only special short, replacement or test prefixes get mentioned).
When you see an entry like the one below for (RWL = Lawson & GKB = Bouey signatures) you can enter your note in that first P-86a category:
This question was now asked probably more then a dozen times and will probably be asked many dozens more. Either put a comment on each and every page or consolidate the year lines to signature and/or other major variants not some letter combinations.
Also why are there splits of the same letter combinations like “Prefix: AFF 0000001 → AFF 3799999)/Prefix: AFF 3800000 → AFF 9999999)”? They have the same signatures RWL, GKB².

P#85a, not 86. Don't confuse him further. Also, there is nowhere on the Numista page explaining how to distinguish 85a from 85b unless you can tell Litho. from Steel by looking (I can't). But there is an easy way. Two letter serial numbers and 3 letter serial numbers up to AFE are P-85a and serial numbers AFF up are P-85b.
