Ethiopia 1/8 Birr Authenticty?

Anybody here an expert on Ethiopian coins?

I have what I thought was an 1887 / 1895 ⅛ Birr, but there's at least one difference between my coin and the one pictured here:

So is mine just a copy or is it a variety not catalogued on Numista or what's happening here?

PS: bonus points if you post pics of your coin for comparison!

I think you're right!

I acquired two of these from another collector, and he had the denomination as 1/8 birr. But the pictures on Numista show the 1/8 birr should have the engraver's name on the reverse! My coins don't have the engraver's name. Just like the 1 ghersh you mentioned. You must be right. Thanks!

My coin is NOT in a holder. The measurements were made with tools with an accuracy of 0.01 gr/mm!

OP coin looks authentic to me. Not sure if worth counterfeit, got mine for few dollars.

sorry, i misunderstood your first input.

Counterfeit was not the rating for tcon's coin but for your example and then it is obviously right.
